Student for a Day at UUJThe University of Ulster, Jordanstown opened its doors on Tuesday, 4th March to the members of the Belfast Computer Clubhouse giving them the opportunity to become a "Student for a Day". The University of Ulster and the Science Shop Project have partnered with the BCCH to provide the Clubhouse with a base of volunteer mentors of University students. During their visits to the Clubhouse, the volunteer mentors take on the role of positive role models to the young members of the Clubhouse. However, on this day the volunteer mentors had the opportunity to take members on a guided tour of the University campus and the excellent facilities the University has to offer. Clubhouse members engaged in experimenting with new software and making their own creative choices through design projects. Ms Sylvia Alexander, Director of Access and Distributed Learning, presented Clubhouse members with a certificate to mark their visit.
