CLICK, at the Waterfront HallApril 2008 saw the first ever multimedia exhibition of work from the members of the Belfast Computer Clubhouse. The exhibition, entitled "CLICK", ran for a three-week period at the Waterfront Hall, Belfast. The Lord Mayor of Belfast was the Guest of Honour at the official opening on the 17th of April 2008. The Lord Mayor spoke to members about the importance of the Clubhouse in their creative and social development, and made a presentation of certificates of achievement to the members. After the formalities of the day, the Lord Mayor took some time to chat to the young people. This was a great opportunity for members to talk about how they created their works and ask the Lord Mayor some questions like "Do you live in the City Hall?" We would like to thank all those involved in making this exhibition such a great success. Thank you to Adam Turkington of the Waterfront Hall, the BCCH Steering Committee for their involvement and the Lord Mayor for taking time to be part of this special Clubhouse event. Most of all, thanks to the Clubhouse members for their fantastic creations! |
